African Zulu couples handcrafted out of Ebony wood with beaded skirt and a beaded pot on the Zulu woman's head. Zulu beadwork is a highly sort after collectors item as the Zulu's are well known all over the world for their wonderful ability to weave baskets and beads

The beaded wooden statues are priced for the pair and originate from KwaZulu Natal in South Africa. The carvings have been carved by a traditional Zulu tribesman and the bead work has been done by a female Zulu. These African figurines are highly sort after and are handcrafted out of Ebony wood. Ebony wood is a dark heavy wood that can be polished to a smooth shine, the wood is hard and makes for the perfect canvas for the artist to work on.

This style of Zulu carving is well known by art collectors as the Zulu people use lots of tiny shiny beads in most of their artwork. This is a true Zulu creation.

Each African Zulu figurine is an "original" work of art, individually handmade, no two are exactly alike which adds to the value of each piece. The original nature of tribal art will be reflected by variances from the African figurine as shown, each piece of a specific style is similar, but not identical.
