African Verdite Stone Animals

We have a large selection of African Verdite stone animals that originate from Zimbabwe and carved by respected and talented stone carvers from the Shona tribe. Shona artists are known as some of the finest stone and wood carvers in the world. Verdite stone is a hard semi precious stone that is green based with flecks of earthly browns mixed into the stone and is found mainly in the Victoria falls area of Zimbabwe. This stone is an expensive stone.

Each Verdite animals is carved with realistic details and proportions, these are highly sort after and not a soft stone such as soapstone. Each Verdite animal is individually hand carved so not two will be exactly the same. They will be similar in look and size to the picture
