African Wooden Hand Carved Zulu Secret Mask

A colorful African Zulu mask that is handcrafted out of hard wood and stands about 35 cm in length. This mask is thought to be a secret mask in that you can tell the mask any secret that you have that you can't share with anyone else.

The Zulu tribesman who hand carved this mask believes that these masks must be truly respected as they hold the secrets of all the people around them. The Zulu mask is set in the natural earth tome colors of black, light and dark brown, blue green and splashes of red. The Zulu mask also has "cuts" on the face under the eyes which is symbolic of the Zulu men, who when doing through initiation into becoming a man ,they will be cut on the face which leaves scars which indicates to the other tribal members that he has enter manhood.
