A large and heavy African hand carved wooden Leopard that is attacking An African warthog. The attacking Leopard has been carved out of Iron wood by the Shona artists of Zimbabwe. Iron woo is a very hard and heavy wood that is found mainly in the Zimbabwe town called Bulawayo.

The Shona carvers that carve African animals out of iron wood are known as some of the most talented carvers in Africa if not the world.

This wooden attacking Leopard is carved in a crouching position and chewing on a piece of tree mimicking the cleaning of teeth by chewing on branches.
