Hand Crafted Batik Art Wall Hanging of Working Women From Mozambique

Size: 20 cm x 40 cm ( 8" x 16" )

An African cloth wall hanging

This African handcrafted Batik wall hanging originates from a small country known as Mozambique in Southern Africa. The Batik, as it is called in Africa, is a painting that is handcrafted on material with various stained dyes to paint a picture or motif permanently on the cloth.

This African Batik shows a typical day in the life of African women. The African women are doing her daily chores of fetching water and has a bucket on her head while standing next to her hut.

This makes for an excellent wall hanging and can easily be framed. When light is placed behind the Batik the wonderful earthly color shine through to make the picture stand out at you.

Each African Batik is an "original" work of art, individually handmade, no two are exactly alike which adds to the value of each batik. The original nature of tribal art will be reflected by variances from the picture as shown, each piece of a specific style is similar, but not identical.

Please allow $3-00 postage through to your international destination the total cost of the Banana leaf painting will be $18-00 delivered to your door.
