This mask is called either "guli" which means son or "Goli" which means messenger.

This African Goli mask has been handcrafted out of wood by the Akan tribal people of Ivory Coast who are The Baule.

This Goli mask is typical in shape, the mask is flat with oval shaped eyes and the mount is rectangular. The mask also has a set of rounded horns that join to make a circular pattern that are said to represent power and strength. The shape of the Goli mask is rounded and represents the sun while the horns represent the buffalo.

Each Goli mask is individually crafted so there will be slight variances from the Goli mask on the picture
