A beautiful hand carved Maasai (Masai) couple ,carved out of hard wood and set in the wonderful colors of the Maasai (Masai) tribe of bright reds. The African hand carved figurine is of two tribal members of the Maasai (Masai) clan that are found on the wide open plains of the Serengetti in Kenya. The Maasai (Masai) couple is of a male warrior with a shield and a spear in each hand and his wife.

The Maasai (Masai) people are widely known for their very dark smooth skin and good looking facial features. Their bodies are almost always chiseled to perfection and this is because of the physical way of life of these African tribesmen. The Maasai (Masai) tribesmen are well known for their strange dancing ritual of jumping with feet together in groups on the spot, this is said to get them ready for battle and almost place them in a trance like state.
