African tribal cane from Malawi

A beautiful if not unusual African ball cane. This walking stick has been hand carved out of light brown wood with images of Elephants on the shaft of the cane. At the top of the handle the cane has been carved out with a hollow center and a small ball has been carved inside the wood. The ball moves around but can not fall out as it was carved into the wood at the same time as the cane was made.

This wonderful African tribal cane / walking stick originates from Malawi and has been carved by a member of the Barotse tribe. Malawi is a small landlocked country in Southern Africa bordering Zambia, Mozambique and Tanzania.
