African Hand Carved Beaded Tall Women (South Africa)

A set of two beautiful hand carved wooden Ebony Zulu beaded tribal woman that are carved in a tall skinny abstract style. The two woman are working ladies as they both have a panga also known as an African long knife over their shoulders.

The beaded wooden statues are priced for the pair and originate from KwaZulu Natal in South Africa. The carvings have been carved by a traditional Zulu tribesman and the bead work has been done by a female Zulu. These African figurines are highly sort after and are handcrafted out of Ebony wood. Ebony wood is a dark heavy wood that can be polished to a smooth shine, the wood is hard and makes for the perfect canvas for the artist to work on.

This style of Zulu carving is well known by art collectors as the Zulu people use lots of tiny shiny beads in most of their artwork. This is a true Zulu creation.

Each African Zulu figurine is an "original" work of art, individually handmade, no two are exactly alike which adds to the value of each piece.
