A beautiful hand carved Zulu tribesmen warrior preparing for battle. This Zulu wood carving which originates from South Africa has been carved out of dark, heavy Ebony wood and show a young Zulu tribesman with a Spear in one hand and a Knob-Kerrie in the other hand and ready for attack. The Knob-Kerrie is a club like tool with a heavy ball head that is used to hit the opponent when on attack.
This wooden Zulu figurines is hand carved to the highest of detail. The Zulu or Zulu warrior is a large tribe of native Africans that are found in South African in an area known as KwaZulu Natal. The Zulu's who was once ruled by the famous Shaka Zulu are known through out the world as a nation that was brutal when going to war. These tribesmen would runs at opponent's without fear and would attack with brutal force. The Zulu people are known for their Zulu weapons and in particularly their Zulu shields which have been collected all around the world and their Knob-Kerrie which is a club with a round ball head at the end that was used in attacking opponents. The Zulu women are known for their wonderful ability to weave grass in beautiful baskets and plates as well as Zulu bead work.
