A beautiful African handcrafted wooden bust/head of an African lady. The wooden hand carved head stands at 20 cm tall and finished off to a smooth natural dark brown wood color. The head which is of a Zulu lady has been carved by a genuine Zulu tribesman of South Africa.
South African Zulu crafts have become a sort after addition to many collector around the world. The Zulu tribesman is known more for his African weapons and Zulu shields rather than his ability to hand carved wooden sculptures. This wooden Zulu bust is of a young Zulu tribes lady with her hair tied back and set in the natural color of the Africa wood. The wood used may vary in many of the carvings but in most cases Ebony wood is used to sculpture the bust. This wooden Zulu bust originates from a small town along the coast of South Africa called St. Lucia which is the heart of the Zulu land. This area is well known a the homelands of the most famous of all Zulu's, the famous Shaka Zulu. He was a ruthless leader who was not afraid of battle and was known for his brutal way of life.
