The stone used is soapstone and originates from Zimbabwe. These soapstone Giselle eggs have been carved by Shona carvers. The Giselle stone eggs are set in various colors and have become sort after African decor for many homes and top designers are now using them in there home creations.

Because of the nature of handcrafted African art each stone egg will be similar but not identical to the picture. There will be slight variances between each stone egg which ads to the uniqueness of the each individual animal stone egg.
