Soapstone Rhino stone egg. This handcrafted egg which originates from Zimbabwe has an image of an African Rhino carved into the face of the oval egg shaped stone. The stone used is soapstone which is commonly used by the artists of Zimbabwe as this stone is easy to use.

The Soapstone Rhino egg is set in the wonderful color of blue and black and shows a male Rhino in a standing position surrounded by African vegetation. The entire soapstone Rhino egg is surrounded by this image, so the back also has vegetation and Africans patterns carved into the stone.

The Zimbabwe artists who are from the Shona tribal background painstakingly cared the soapstone rock into the shape of a chicken egg and then place various African images onto the face of the egg and then set it in the wonderful bright colors of Africa
