We have sourced African masks from all over Africa but countries such as the Congo, Cameroon and Gabon are were some of the most detailed and sort after masks are from. African masks have throughout the years played a very important significance in traditional ceremonies and are believed to bring worldly people closer to their ancestors and being one with the world. These beliefs are often seen in the mask designs and the images carved into the mask face. All masks on our website are individually hand carved so each one although will look similar to the picture will not be exactly the same.
