African Maasai (Masai)
warrior woman
African Maasai (Masai) warrior - woman
Size: 20cm (H)
A typical African hand carved wooden Maasai (Masai) Mare warrior carved out of Black Ebony wood or Mahogany wood. The Maasai (Masai) tribesmen and women are found in Kenya in Central Africa and are known for their very dark smooth skin.
The Maasai (Masai) Mare tribesmen are a well known African tribe that are known for their strange trance like ritual that the warriors do before doing into the battle. The tribesmen will stand together in a line and strange to chant while jumping in the same position. This they can do for a very long time and it almost places the warrior in a trace before battle.
As the African Maasai (Masai) warrior is handcrafted there may be slight differences in the Maasai (Masai) warrior from the picture. Although the African warrior will be similar the uniqueness of African arts will mean that no two carvings will be exactly the same in regard to size, color and pattern.
