The Zulu artist uses the natural different colors of the banana leaf to create the different color elements. Leaving the banana leaf to dry, the pigment of the leaf changes and at certain stages the artist then curs the leaf so that it will then remain at that color, giving the artist the different colors needed to create this wonderful Banana leaf art picture.
