A large hand carved wooden African Warthog, that has been carved in Zimbabwe by Shona artists. The wood used in Iron Wood which is a very hard and heavy dark brown wood found in the Bulawayo region of Zimbabwe.

This warthog is in a standing position with head slightly turned to the side with tusks made form bone. The detail of the warthog is very accurate with great care been taken to make sure that the proportions of the African wooden warthog is correct. Shona artist are known for their great ability to carve and are some of the finest carvers in the world.
