This beautifully crafted wooden chess set is handmade in Malawi, a small country in Southern Africa renowned for its exceptional ebony wood carvings. The chess pieces stand approximately 5 cm (2") tall and are carved in an abstract style inspired by the people of Malawi. Each piece represents a member of local tribal communities, giving the set a distinctly cultural and artistic character.
